Shot today in the cold and snowy rain. They were great with the weather and I think the pictures turned out great. I can't tell if they're that cute a couple or if I'm that great a photographer. These are from Saturday. An amazing and cold day. They had their son sealed to them. Its days like this that make me glad to be the photographer. I can be all dressed up warm. And I don't have to stand in the cold and look cute. Although I could. Anyone that knows me knows how cute I can be. And it's very cute. But I digress. This little guy was so good. Out in the cold and he did great the whole time. Great couple and a great day for them. Congratulations.

You know when you're excited to photograph a family and they show up and are so cute? And then the complaining starts. It's cold. I can't feel my hands. It's snowing on the newborn. And I'm like, "Hey people. This is family pictures. No one likes it. No one wants to be here. But lets get this over with and we can all go home." You see what I put up with? The kids were so great. The weather was cold but they handled it amazingly. They are sort of family so I feel I can be a little more mean then I would to strangers. Here they are with a little but of funky colors. The last gal is the aunt. I didn't want anyone thinking this was a "Typical Utah Family".

This bride was the friend and coworker of the spouse of a friend that saw Ferris pass out at 31 flavors last night. Great couple, a lot of fun, sometimes too much fun but the pictures turned out great. They drove up from St. George with several mishaps and delays but they made it to the shoot and everything went great. Except the mosquitoes. But other than that things were great.

These are from yesterday. There is this old gas station in American Fork that we shot at. The weather turned out pretty good. The couple was going for an old fashioned style which explains the look and the awkward kissing. Or maybe it was his sister standing there making inappropriate comments. I thought they were funny. Best of all we finished fast enough to get home to see BYU finish Gonzaga and go to the sweet 16. Looks like it turned out for everyone.

We shot these yesterday. The weather was amazing. Despite the sassy bride and the jealous sister everything, mostly went great. The groom could not have been more nice or cooperative. I was amazing. The brides mom was everywhere helping out and guarding camera gear. There was one incident with the bride but being the type of person I am I will not mention it here. But if you know her please ask her what happened when I was at the top of the stairs shooting down at the couple. She'll know what I'm talking about. i would love to hear back some comments on these. These were shot at Daybreak yesterday. The weather cooperated thanks to some pleading on facebook to the weather. I know it doesn't make sense but that's what happened. The kids were great, parent also, but I am always concerned how the kids will act when time and weather are so questionable. Well as you can see everything worked out. I was hoping one of the kids would venture too close tho the edge of the pier and end up in the lake. Unfortunately that didn't happen so just cute pictures will have to make due.

I shot these tonight up in Park City. I was getting annoyed at the cute little guy but he kept making faces at me so I threatened to kick his butt. I did. Fits, tantrums, tears, crying, yelling, apologies, more fits, and that was just me. They were great. Aside from some direction and location issues the shoot went off without a hitch. Well, one hitch. These were shot after a long drive that went to all the wrong places. Due to my getting lost I now hate Ogden. I'm sure it wasn't Ogden's fault I just think it could have been more helpful then it was. Also the directions I was text were oddly split up by my phone so a street I was looking for was not the street I should have been looking for. Anyway, this is Shailey and we were shooting for her model portfolio. She was amazing and as you can see the pictures turned out so great. Her husband and child were very patient during the shoot. A Healthy Part of a Nutritious Day

These are from Friday. We were very luck with the weather. The day before it rained so much but we had a great sunny day. This couple has been so great to work with. They are so great to photograph and are so laid back and fun.I couldn't be happier with how the pictures turned out. There was a couple situations that evening though. First, the bridal picture blew over and the frame broke. The glass also broke and cut up the picture so we hurriedly had a new one printed and put in a frame and no one ever knew, until now. Then that evening my wife was rushed into emergency surgery so I smiled and shot the reception while getting texts as to her condition until I finished with the pictures then hurried over to the hospital. Everything is going well now and I hope everyone like the pictures I have posted. I will add more once I get a chance to go through them more thoroughly. The title is due to the couple having a cereal bar at the reception. Thanks for stopping by.

These two just recently are going to get engaged. Makes sense right? They're engaged only not technically. So I guess their engagement is a technicality. They were so great to work with except... These were shot Tuesday evening in American Fork. We planned to meet there at 5 and when we showed up there was a crew filming a move right where we wanted to be. If I knew the family better I would say some pretty awful things about them. But since I don't I'll stick to the pictures. This shoot really was more for the twin babies but since these girls could not have been cuter or sassier or curlier or more fun I ended up shooting a lot of them. The babies like most newborns didn't cooperate all that well. And they each took turns peeing on the blankets, but that's boys for you. But they turned out great and the family was amazing, for being U fans.

This guy is one of my favorites to shoot. He is such a cute kid and easy to shoot, when he's not climbing or jumping. We shot downtown which gave a different look to the shoot. These are from Sunday evening. We met and shot out on Antelope Island. The pictures and model were amazing. I could not be happier about how they turned out. The problem was all the bugs. There were millions and they were everywhere. We moved all over the island but the bugs seemed to be everywhere. It was worth it though. The pictures are worth the hundred bites.

I prepped all my camera gear, showered, dressed, loaded everything into the car, drove across the valley and into the mountains, unpacked everything, hiked around photographing the family, packed everything back up, drove back across the valley, unloaded everything, downloaded all the images onto the computer, backed them up, processed the pictures and now comes the hard part. These are from Saturday night. I was concerned that we wouldn't have enough light to shoot since we started a bit late in the evening and with the light going so early, but they turned out great. She was one of the best models I have worked with. She moved just the way I like to shoot and so in a short time we took a lot of great pictures.

Single Sisters Looking For Love

These were shot yesterday at the mouth of Little Cottonwood Canyon. The weather turned out really good for this shoot. Later it was a little blustery. I said I would be mean to them in the blog but I won't. Although any of you with single guy friends the two sisters toward the bottom are single and looking. These two were so easy and so cute and so great. We only shot for a short time and came out with a ton of great pictures. Also I have a new best friend, so I've got that going for me. The older one was a little shy at first but soon we were holding hands and looking at ladybugs. Great gals to photograph.

This first guy ,especially, was great. He smiled the whole time which can be difficult with those cheeks.

This little girl is the daughter of my brothers friends, who saw Ferris pass out at 31 flavors last night. I have to add stuff like that because I don't know them well enough to be mean like usual. This gal was so cute. Now I may be partial to redheads but she was great. I hope they like the pictures. I think they turned out great. And we even got some where she wasn't eating rocks or sticks.

I was going to be mean about this family but the most mean I can be is just posting their pictures. Just look at them. Is there anything I can say that could insult them more? I don't think so. Actually they were great. We had to change the shoot due to events going on at the original location. We ended up shooting in the mountains. The pictures turned out great and we had a lot of fun shooting, well I did at least. And isn't that all that matters.

Ugly Children

It was a hot and humid morning. I drove hurriedly to the appointment for which I was already late. Only to find some of the ugliest kids you can imagine. I worked as hard as I could and I photographed as well as was possible and these are the best that I could manage with kids that looked like this. If you are sensitive please look away. For those of you who stayed and are continuing to look I just say good luck. I am related to a couple of these kids but I won't say which. I hope you enjoyed this rant as it is about as mean as I can get. The kids were great and the pictures turned out great and the parents were great as well.

Some picture from a recent model shoot. They turned out so great. Jessi and Andrew are the models and are so easy to work with. The last shoot we did together my cameras shutter broke and it is now finally fixed and the shoot went on without a hitch. Man that was a run on sentence. Here are a few from that day and I was so glad Andrew came. I wanted to shoot more men for my portfolio but its not easy to find guys to photograph. And believe me I looked. Sun dancing sundance or sun sun dance dancing or sundance dancing sun.This is what you get when you cross sun and dancing and Sundance. Anyway you mix it it was amazing. The wedding was so fun and the reception was great. There was champagne and dancing and smores. The only downer was the mean parents pulling their three year old off the dance floor after over an hour of dancing. She could not get enough. The party did continue and everyone had a great time. Congratulations to the new couple. I hope you all enjoy a few pictures from that evening.

We shot these engagement pictures at Sundance resort this morning. These two are so great, they are so photogenic and easy to shoot. Here is a sampling of the pictures to give you an idea of how the shoot went. There were two disturbing things at the shoot though. First was a small dead bird we found and second was a series of racy make out pictures. We survived both and I could not be happier at how the pictures turned out. Great job guys. The first place we shot was behind the Provo mental institution and the second place was behind some stores and there was a shopping basket that we used in a few shots.

We shot these kids at Wheeler Farm yesterday. It was a little windy but the pictures turned out great. Models models everywhere

I really could have used a couple more cameras this last Saturday. I had shoots with two models and both turned out so great. The first is Marci and she was so nice and so easy to work with. She is in the striped shirt. We shot in Bountiful on an older street and had a great time. Next is Kati and we shot at Liberty park in Salt Lake. She was a lot of fun and we shot her in four different outfits, I think. She was great to work with and one of the most focused models that I have shot. She was fun and playful but as soon as we started shooting she got into it and was so amazing. I haven't been getting too many comments on the shoots lately and I would love to hear what you think, so let me know. Thanks. And come back soon.
